As part of its founding mandate WPS has established programmes that allow for the empowerment Basotho in different ways.
Internship Program
The Internship Program brings together recent graduates and potential employers for a period of six months. During this period the employer has an opportunity to discover what the new trends in the education system are in their discipline, and to groom future potential employees or players in the field. This also contributes to the companies social responsibility portfolio. The company may chose to give the interns an allowance during this time to meet their transport and food needs. However this is mandatory for participation in the program.
The role WPS plays in the program, aside from liaising between the two parties is to address the behavioural aspects of the workplace. WPS in coalition with the supervisor of the intern will monitor the interns performance.
Training and Development
Does you company have a training and development program that is in line with the growth or potential growth of your organisation? WPS through its wide network of consultants with expertise in different spheres can organise training in line with your company’s specific needs.
Furthermore we have public offerings that you can send your staff to. We can also assist you in setting up a regulated and regularly updated induction manual.
Mentorship Program
WPS recognises the need for young professionals and entrepreneurs to learn from leaders of industry. As such we have developed a mentorship program that promotes learnership opportunities for young graduates. From this mentors are able to impart years of
experience to future leaders.
